NBA Finals 2015: Golden State Warriors beat Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 1 overtime thriller

LEBRON James was enormous for Cleveland with 44 points but the Golden State Warriors have claimed a 1-0 lead in the NBA Finals with a thrilling 108-100 overtime victory at Oracle Arena.

Game 1 lived up to the hype, with Steph Curry scoring 26 points for the Warriors in a game the Cavaliers led until it really mattered.

Cleveland has a potential injury disaster to take from the game, with Kyrie Irving (23 points) reinjuring his leg in overtime. He left the game and is being tended to by doctors, in a shock that may bring Aussie Matthew Dellavedova into the frame for more game time.

Klay Thompson had 21 points for the Warriors, while Andrew Bogut had four points, seven boards, two assists, two blocks and a steal, with an emphatic jam his highlight of the night (watch above).

Fellow Aussie Dellavedova had just nine minutes game time for Cleveland, notching three assists but going scoreless. He may yet have a major role in the Finals due to Irving’s injury worries.
